Off the beaten track - Alpina delivers the Official Watch of the FIS Freeride World Tour by Peak Performance for the 7th time

There's no sign of the seventh year itch anywhere. Instead, the ongoing partnership with the FWT promises spectacular ski races again this year and, of course, a new watch from the Swiss manufacturer.

Alpina is not only a partner and supplies the official watch of the competition, but also supports the French snowboarder and three-time freeride world champion Victor de Le Rue.

The program includes six stages across Europe and North America, including a brand new one in Val Thorens – a ski resort with which Alpina has maintained close ties for several years. The French capital of ski cross – a discipline in which four athletes compete on a technically demanding course featuring banked turns, moguls, and jumps – hosts two stages of the Ski Cross World Championship every year, for which Alpina has been the official timekeeper for the past five years.

The Freeride World Tour concludes at the legendary Bec des Rosses à Verbier in Switzerland, after the most prestigious and demanding stage of the season. The YETI Xtreme Verbier celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2025 and is now synonymous with top performance in freeride.

With a height of 3,223 meters and a vertical drop of 600 meters, the Bec des Rosses is known for its extremely steep slopes with gradients of over 50 degrees and its technically demanding lines.

There, the best skiers and snowboarders continually push their limits.

To support them, Alpina has therefore developed a watch that suits their discipline: the “Alpiner Extreme Automatic Freeride World Tour”.

For essential functions (hours, minutes, seconds[1], and date display), the timepiece is equipped with the reliable AL-525 automatic caliber (based on the SW200). It is protected by a cushion-shaped stainless steel case (41 x 42.5 mm) water-resistant to 20 bar. Its precise functionality can be read under sapphire crystal on the dial with its characteristic triangular structure. A robust rubber strap ensures a secure fit.
