Certina and double security - size doesn't matter

With a diameter of 34.5 millimetres and a quartz drive, anyone who thinks this is a chic ladies' watch for a fashionable appearance is not completely wrong - because the new "DS Action" models are of course the perfect complement to feminine outfits - but this assessment is not entirely correct.

Anyone who knows Certina is also familiar with the DS concept of the Swatch Group brand. It reflects the Swiss watch manufacturer's claim to offer particularly robust watches. And this applies to all watches - whether a stately diver's watch or a modern everyday watch. The DS concept was developed in 1959.

With these new "DS Action" models in the 34.5-millimetre format, Certina also demonstrates a flair for current colour trends and brings the bright colours of the sea - which Certina has been committed to preserving for many years - to the wrist: packaged in timepieces that are as maritime as they are versatile.

They are water-resistant to 30 bar and, thanks to the Superluminova on the hands and indices, are always easy to read, even in poor lighting conditions.

The colour of the dial is matched to the rotating bezel on each model: Light and dark blue, black, green and apricot are just as much a choice as gold PVD elements or shimmering mother-of-pearl.

A reliable and high-precision Precidrive quartz calibre ticks inside the case made of durable stainless steel or extra-light titanium.

The RRP is between €470 and €560.

The DS concept

The DS concept of double safety has been continuously adapted to the latest technical standards since 1959 and is used in all of the brand's watches.

It includes an extremely scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, an O-ring seal on the setting stem, two further O-ring seals in the crown, a reinforced case back with a specific seal and a water resistance of at least ten bar.
