BVSU President starts his seventh term of office

The general assembly of the Federal Association of Jewelry, Watches, Silverware and Related Industries (BVSU) has re-elected Pforzheim entrepreneur Uwe Staib as BVSU President.

He is beginning his seventh two-year term as chairman of the association. Staib first assumed the position in February 2013. The general meeting also elected the vice presidents and other board members for the 2025-2027 term.

1st Chairman (President) Uwe Staib (Hermann Staib GmbH, Pforzheim), 2nd Chairman (Vice President) Peter Pfäffle (Karl Scheufele GmbH), 3rd Chairman (Vice President) Marcus Binder (Binder Metalle GmbH & Co. KG, Mönsheim), Board members Hermann Bender (Max Fröhlich GmbH, Essen), Michael Harer (Hovon Europa GmbH, Pforzheim), Karlheinz Karner (Bauer-Walser AG, Keltern), Adalbert Mayer (AMS-Uhrenfabrik A. Mayer GmbH, Furtwangen), Tino Renninger (Burkhardt + Bischoff GmbH + Co. KG, Keltern), and Oliver Scheurle (Quinn Scheurle GmbH, for the Schwäbisch Gmünd Precious Metals Association). Dario Vasco (Vasco GmbH, Pforzheim) was elected auditor.

Before the elections, BVSU General Manager Dr. Guido Grohmann reported to the general assembly on the association's diverse activities in the past year 2024, while BVSU attorney Jessica Kreis reported on labor and collective bargaining law.

Managing Director Christine Köhle-Wichmann reported on the financial year of the BVSU's own subsidiary and service company Deutsche Schmuck und Uhren GmbH.


About the BVSU

The Federal Association of Jewelry, Watches, Silverware and Related Industries (BVSU) was founded in Pforzheim in 1947. It represents the interests of over 170 predominantly medium-sized member companies and represents their interests at the national, European, and international levels. It is a member of the Federation of German Industries (BDI). It is responsible for the leadership of the German associations in the International Jewelry Federation (CIBJO). Furthermore, the BVSU represents the interests of the German watch industry in the European Watch Federation (CPHE). The association is also a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) and the Watch & Jewellery Initiative 2030.
