Anniversary party with star power
The Hublot "Big Bang" is 20 years old. With this watch, Hublot has achieved a milestone, as this model has turned the brand into a fully-fledged manufacture. The Big Bang symbolises Hublot's unique innovations and bold designs that have accompanied the brand for years. This also applies to the further development of materials and new interpretations of traditional grand complications.
Fittingly, the new anniversary set of the "Big Bang" watches is called "Materials & High Complications" and consists of five unique pieces that tell their story together. The birthday of the "Big Bang" was celebrated with a lavish party in Geneva, where prominent guests such as football star Kylian Mbappé, yachtsman Alan Roura, athlete Mujinga Kambundji and runner Usain Bolt also attended.
Julien Tornare, CEO of Hublot, welcomed the guests and gave a speech:
Our icon, the Big Bang, redefined the rules of modern watchmaking. Twenty years later, we celebrate this revolutionary mindset, the Big Bang continues to epitomise the courage, innovation and pioneering spirit for which Hublot is renowned. It is such a moving moment to see the Hublot family united on such a special occasion.
Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Sapphire

The first watch in the quintet of the new "Big Bang" series is the Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Sapphirewhich showcases the manufacture's automatic tourbillon calibre with micro-rotor in a case made of completely transparent sapphire crystal. The 22-carat white gold micro-rotor visible on the dial side was produced in a special skeletonised version for this unique anniversary piece and bears the inscription "20 YEARS". The movements of the 60-second tourbillon and the rotor are fully illuminated by the light entering through the case and bezel.
Big Bang Tourbillon Chronograph in water blue sapphire crystal
As a pioneer in the production of sapphire crystal components in vibrant colours, Hublot has created a unique version of the Big Bang Tourbillon Chronograph in water blue sapphire crystal - one of the latest sapphire crystal colours developed by the Manufacture. The skeletonised tourbillon chronograph calibre with monopusher appears to float in the tropical blue of the crystalline case.

Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic

Ceramics already played a prominent role in the first Big Bang models in 2005. In the years that followed, the manufactory developed its own expertise in the research, development and production of ceramics, which enabled it to present several world firsts and a range of ceramic colours. One of the proudest achievements is the red ceramic, which is used in this version of the Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic is presented even more spectacularly.
Big Bang Tourbillon Chronograph Cathedral Minute Repeater
The unique Big Bang Tourbillon Chronograph Cathedral Minute Repeater in black Frosted Carbon demonstrates how Hublot is reinventing Haute Horlogerie with an impressive number of high complications. Some of the most outstanding complications, such as the monopusher chronograph and the minute repeater with chime, give this unique creation an unrivalled look, feel and sound.

Big Bang Integrated Tourbillon Cathedral Minute Repeater

The set is completed by the Big Bang Integrated Tourbillon Cathedral Minute Repeater in blue Texalium, which highlights the high-performance materials such as carbon fibre that Hublot uses in a variety of ways. Texalium has similar properties to traditional carbon fibre weave, but offers more freedom in terms of the density of the fabric and the colours it can take on. With this
Unikat, a deep blue colour was chosen for the case, bezel and integrated bracelet for the first time. The minute repeater offers a unique acoustic experience with a powerful, clear chime that differs significantly from that of conventional metal cases.
About Hublot and the legacy of Big Bang
In 1980, a watch dared to combine a gold case with a rubber strap for the first time, turning the world of luxury watches on its head. Its bezel with visible screws, whose design resembled a porthole ("hublot" in French), gave the watch its name: Hublot was born and with it the art of fusion.
In 2005, the brand took this creative spirit to a new dimension - with the Big Bang and its iconic design, imposing size and multi-layered case. In the same year, the Big Bang was honoured with the "Best Design" award at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève. Since then, the Big Bang has reinvented itself time and again, driven by this same revolutionary spirit. The 21st century has its first watch icon. Few timepieces have changed contemporary watchmaking as much as the Big Bang. Twenty years after its launch, it continues to embody the essence of a manufacture that continues to redefine the boundaries of the unknown. With exclusive materials and in-house movements, most notably the "Unico" and the "Meca-10", the "Big Bang" breaks with tradition - a concept it has never fully embraced. Unique in its bold aesthetics, versatile in its many facets - that is the Big Bang.
