Aerowatch – independent, family-run and with a special tradition

We met Aerowatch in Geneva at the “Time to Watches” trade fair.

Founded in 1910 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Aerowatch initially did not start with wristwatches, but specialized primarily in pocket watches and watch pendants – a common form of high-quality timepieces at the time. This focus was further expanded from 1942 onwards, particularly under the leadership of Maxime Crevoisier.

The design language of many Aerowatch models today is strongly influenced by this tradition. Curves, dial design, crown, and case shape in many models deliberately evoke classic pocket watches – especially in the "1942" line, which is explicitly inspired by historical models.

AEROWATCH “Milan” – the “Urban Pocket Watch”

The limited edition of 115 pieces Milan This pocket watch combines industrial design with traditional hand-wound technology. A satin-finished stainless steel case, skeletonized movement with blued screws, and a striking dial make it a modern statement piece for lovers of classic designs.

AEROWATCH “Wheel Skeleton” – skeleton watch with racing DNA

With the Renaissance Wheel Skeleton, AEROWATCH demonstrates how classic watchmaking and modern sportiness can be combined. The skeletonized hand-wound watch is inspired by the design and dynamics of motorsport.

At its heart lies the matte-skeletonized Unitas hand-wound movement (ETA 6497-1), visible through the openworked dial and transparent case back. Hours, minutes, and a small seconds subdial at 9 o'clock are accompanied by luminous hands and indices that remain easily legible even in the dark. The 43 mm case is available in either satin-finished stainless steel or with a black PVD coating. Color-coordinated leather straps with folding clasps ensure sporty yet elegant comfort – a modern interpretation of the skeleton watch.

CHRONOLADY 1942 feminine chronograph with fine details

A stylish ladies' watch with a high-quality ETA quartz movement that, in addition to hours, minutes, and seconds, features a date display at 6 o'clock and two additional functions: a 30-minute counter and a 1/10-second counter – ideal for sporty yet elegant occasions. The polished stainless steel case, 36 mm in diameter, is protected by a double-domed sapphire crystal and is water-resistant to 50 meters. A white mother-of-pearl dial with clear indices underscores the feminine appeal, complemented by a crown set in black onyx.

Available in blue, pastel green, or raspberry, with matching leather straps and pin buckles – alternatively, the model is also available with a metal bracelet. For those seeking extra sparkle, there is also a diamond version with 60 lab-grown diamonds (VS, brilliant cut, Ø 1.20 mm, 0.45 ct) – sustainably produced in Switzerland.

AEROWATCH “Automatic Regulator 1942 Limited Edition 01/100”

The Automatic Regulator 1942 Limited Edition by AEROWATCH is limited to just 100 pieces worldwide, making this regulator a truly exclusive work of art. The off-center hour and second hands on silver dials and the centrally positioned minute hand give the model an elegant, modern look.

The 42 mm stainless steel case, protected by a domed sapphire crystal, offers a perfect view of the refined movement, visible through a transparent case back. The combination of a black dial and steel creates an elegant aesthetic that also appeals to women.

Tradition meets innovation – The story of Aerowatch

Aerowatch is a family-run company based in Switzerland that has made a name for itself through its specialization in skeletonized watch models. Today, the company is successfully managed by the Bolzli family, who continuously develop the brand with creative collections and a flair for timeless elegance.

A century of watchmaking art

Underlined by the English company name and the reference to the emerging aviation industry, the company succeeded in attracting initial attention through creative advertising, despite the difficult times of the First World War.

A new chapter: The Crevoisier family

In 1942, Maxime Crevoisier took over the company and moved its headquarters to Neuchâtel. Under his leadership, Aerowatch specialized in pocket and pendant watches. After more than four decades, his son Georges Crevoisier handed over the reins to Denis Bolzli in 2001 – a seamless transition that ensured the brand's continuity.

The Bolzli era

With the arrival of the new generation of the Bolzli family in 2005, a new direction began: The first wristwatch collection – inspired by classic pocket watches – was presented. The "1942" model quickly became the brand's flagship. Today, Aerowatch is represented worldwide at over 500 points of sale, more than 120 of which are in Switzerland.

Aerowatch stands for high-quality watchmaking at affordable prices. Attention to detail and the ambition to combine modern watchmaking technology with individual style characterize every model – making Aerowatch a brand that masterfully unites past, present, and future.
