Swarovski Created Diamonds presents the Octagon Collection

Swarovski's unmistakable style is reflected in the octagonal cut, which has been an icon of the Austrian brand for years. Now, with the Created Diamonds line, Swarovski has dedicated a collection of synthetic diamonds to this cut.

A new chapter for the Swarovski Octagon

The octagonal cut, which characterizes so many Swarovski jewelry designs, is a culmination of a 130-year history of innovation and creativity. Global Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert has dedicated a collection from the Swarovski Created Diamonds line to the cut, which recreates the silhouette of the Swarovski logo.

The collection highlights the elegance of the signature octagonal frame, celebrating the brand's tradition and savoir-faire as masters of light. Giovanna Engelbert explains:

 "The Octagon collection is a modern homage to timeless, fine jewelry and celebrates the beauty of this special cut. Swarovski has developed its own proprietary diamond cut for the first time, and it was important to me to pay tribute to it. The cut is a smoother, longer version of the traditional octagon. Striking and strong, yet feminine, timeless, and unobtrusively extraordinary. The design for this collection was intended to be simple and unpretentious. The brilliance of the diamonds and the elegance of the silhouette are the focus."

Multifaceted beauty

The octagonal-cut diamonds are a testament to Swarovski's expertise and impress with 57 facets each: 32 on the pavilion, 24 on the crown, and one on the table. The masterful faceting includes a step cut on the crown and a princess cut on the pavilion. The design of the octagonal cut involved experimenting with a thousand different cut variations. 

The final combination was selected based on the best possible light incidence. The result is a cut that is more brilliant than a typical emerald or baguette cut and also perfectly reflects Swarovski's design codes. The "Octagon" collection comprises a wide range of jewelry pieces, including pendants, earrings, bracelets, and rings with lab-grown octagon-cut diamonds and bezel settings. Synthetic diamonds certified by the IGI (International Gemological Institute) meet precious metals. 

The result is a collection that will stand the test of time. The octagon cut and the jewelry collection of the same name combine the timeless elegance of synthetic diamonds with striking designs. They thus bring radiance to life's defining moments – from festive occasions and significant achievements to personal moments of happiness and promises for eternity.
