Alexander Shorokhoff: Two watches, two awards
Alexander Shorokhoff: Two watches, two awards
The German watch brand has once again secured two prestigious awards. The "Emotio Due" and "Summer" models were honored.
Platinum for the “Emotio Due”
The International Architecture & Design Awards (IADA), organized by the Architecture & Design Community (ADC), have honored the “Emotio Due,” limited to 50 pieces, with the Platinum Award in the “Accessories and Fashion Items” category.

This honors the successful symbiosis of classic elegance and modern avant-garde, combined with innovative technology, according to the jury's verdict:

“Alexander Shorokhoff presents the 'Emotio Due', an automatic watch that appears inconspicuous at first glance, but is packed with features.
This new model combines technical innovations with a modern design. This creates a beautiful contrast: a modern dial in a classic stainless steel case with fascinating functions."
The description “unobtrusive” should be interpreted relatively, because the dial features an avant-garde pattern dominated by a wave-shaped design in the center and the striking “60” at the 9 o’clock position.

Two mother-of-pearl subdials display the date and power reserve in various shades. The 42-millimeter stainless steel case with its cylindrical glass front provides a striking contrast. Inside, the automatic caliber STP12-1 with a 42-hour power reserve works. (RRP €2,590)
Silver for the “Summer”
The “Summer” timepiece was awarded the Silver Award at the NY Product Design Awards for outstanding achievements.

The watch convinced the jury with its progressive design approach and its effect on the user:

"Even at first glance, one is enchanted by the magic emanating from the dial of the 'Summer' model. And 'magical' certainly apt, because it's important to note the dial's innovative manufacturing process.
Both the small butterfly and the beautiful floral arrangement were created as appliqués using an intricate 3D technique. This gives the dial a breathtaking depth and presence, revealing the magic of the watch."
The "Summer" model completes Alexander Shorokhoff's seasons series. The 3D dial features a sunburst finish and is available in green and burgundy, limited to 19 and 31 pieces, respectively.

The case is made of stainless steel and measures 36×36 millimeters. Inside ticks the ETA 2000-1 automatic caliber with a power reserve of approximately 40 hours. (RRP €3,500)
