Jewelry with crystals made from broken material
Swarovski presents Chroma Twist – a new collection that embraces the circular economy and demonstrates the crystal manufacturer's commitment to resource-efficient production. The crystals used in the "Chroma Twist" collection are scrap from Swarovski's manufacturing process. Swarovski has dubbed the resulting stones "ReCreated™ Crystals" – visually, they are just as beautiful and sparkling as the crystals previously produced by the Austrian company. According to the manufacturer, these crystals consume 40 percent fewer natural resources than conventional crystals. This calculation is based on a verified life cycle analysis compliant with ISO 14040/44. Recycled metals have a lower carbon footprint and minimize the extraction of raw materials according to the emission factors for primary and recycled metals from ecoinvent 3.7.1.

Basis: Circular Design Framework
To design this new, resource-efficient collection, Giovanna Engelbert, Global Creative Director of Swarovski, partnered with the Centre for Sustainable Fashion, a leading research center at the University of the Arts London. Together, they developed the Circular Design Framework, which aims to reduce waste, use materials sustainably, and extend the lifespan of creations. This framework serves as the foundation for the collection. For Swarovski, it represents a milestone on the path to greater sustainability.
The new Chroma Twist collection uses recycled metals in addition to "ReCreated™ Crystals." It consists of six new designs that can be combined in endless ways thanks to flexible constructions and color variations, ensuring long-lasting enjoyment thanks to their versatility and versatility.
Chroma Twist emphasizes Swarovski's creative, innovative spirit and commitment to the circular economy. At the same time, the collection puts the House's fascinating color wheel in the spotlight. Chroma Twist is launched as part of the Swarovski Summer 2025 campaign and is available in Swarovski stores and on swarovski.com.
