The "Superocean Heritage" from Breitling is ready for summer, the beach and surfing fun
The vintage look of the diver's watch model, first introduced in 1957, not only meets the current tastes of many watch lovers, but also comes just in time for the summer season.
She dressed up for the occasion and modelled her relaxed Hawaiian lifestyle on that of surfing legend Kelly Slater and member of the Breitling Surfer Squad.
The summer sun and beach look is rounded off by a sunglasses collection created in collaboration with British luxury eyewear brand Cutler & Gross.

When it was launched in 1957, Breitling took a different path with the "Superocean" than with other diving watches of the time. It has always been about good looks.
The spear-and-arrow hands, the anodised rotating bezel and the slim proportions also appealed to people who prefer a stylish appearance on and around the water to underwater.

Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling, summarises it as follows: "The 'Superocean Heritage' is our most elegant water sports watch, and this new edition is all about sophistication. Every detail has been perfected - but the spirit remains the same. The credo is: style - in and on the water."
At the launch event in Biarritz, the Breitling boss took the opportunity to experience the feeling of waves under a surfboard for himself.
"Superocean Heritage" comes with summery variety

The collection includes a 42-millimetre chronograph (RRP €8,900-10,200), which is powered by the Manufacture Calibre 01.

There are also automatic models in 44, 42 and the new 40-millimetre diameter size (RRP €6,100-8,150), which introduce the new B31 movement: Breitling's first exclusive manufacture calibre with three hands, launched in March.

Another addition to the collection measures 36 millimetres (€5,250-5,550) and houses the Calibre 10 automatic movement.

Externally, the "Superocean Heritage" novelties are presented in a clear colour scheme of black, blue and green for the dial, surrounded by a colour-coordinated bezel with a scratch-resistant ceramic inlay. On selected models, the outer bezels are complemented with 18-carat red gold from responsible sources.

Thinner, more integrated straps made of mesh metal and mesh rubber ensure a secure fit on the case, including folding clasps for a seamless finish.

Further refinements concern the symmetry and proportions of the watch, the tone-on-tone sub-dials and the discreet date display at 6 o'clock.
The launch campaign is inspired by the images, sounds, tropical flora, intense colours and surf culture as well as the sunny lifestyle of the Aloha State of Hawaii.

"Kelly Slater Limited Edition" - a tribute to the surfing legend
Hawaii used to be a dream for Kelly Slater. Now it's his home. With eleven world championship titles, 56 tournament wins and three decades in which he has redefined the sport, Kelly Slater is a true champion.

"Ever since I can remember, I've dreamed of travelling to Hawaii and living there," says Slater. "It was this faraway land with breathtaking waves, perfect weather and the ultimate surfing lifestyle.
When I lived here, I realised that that wasn't all there was to it. The people, the community, nature - everything is so intertwined.
The respect that Hawaiians have for their country, their people and their culture runs deep. That makes Hawaii even more special than what I dreamed of as a child. And now I call it home."
Breitling has now dedicated a watch to the member of the Breitling Surfer Squad. The "Superocean Heritage B31 Automatic 40 Kelly Slater" (RRP €6,750) is limited to 500 pieces and features a leaf pattern on the dial that is inspired by the interplay of light and shadow under a tropical canopy of leaves.

The case back is open and provides a view of the B31 movement. "One of 500" and "Kelly Slater Limited Edition" are also engraved on the outer ring. The watch is available with a blue rubber mesh strap or a stainless steel mesh strap and comes in a special presentation box with the same Hawaiian flower motif.

"Breitling has been with me for years," says Slater. "This watch reflects everything I love - the sea, nature and the casual style I've always felt connected to."
