Yellow and exclusive - MeisterSinger presents the "Edition Elétrico 28"

The name of this watch may be misleading. It's not a battery-operated quartz watch, but rather a mechanical one. The name "Edition Elétrico 28" refers more to Lisbon's tram line 28E.

Due to the use of vintage carriages and the exceptionally steep and narrow sections of the line that the train travels through the narrow streets of the old town, line 28E is considered one of the city's most popular attractions.

With its historic feel, its characteristic yellow color, and its unhurried speed, it is more than just a means of transport—it is a symbol of Lisbon.

Inspired by this legendary tram, the Münster-based single-hand watch specialist MeisterSinger, together with the renowned Lisbon-based retailer Joalharia Farreira Marques, has developed the exclusive edition watch: the “Elétrico 28”.

Limited to 28 copies

The dial of the limited edition of 28 watches is in the striking yellow of the tram, complemented by red accents – a color reference to the interior of the historic vehicle. The black needle hand rotates across the dial once every twelve hours in typical MeisterSinger style, providing a relaxed view of time.

The case is based on the classic MeisterSinger model "No. 03"—with a comfortable diameter of 40 millimeters. The round date window is located above the 6 o'clock position.

On the back, a glass caseback reveals the reliable Swiss automatic movement SW200. The caseback is adorned with a delicate drawing of the Tram 28 and the consecutive edition number.

The "Edition Elétrico 28" comes standard with a gray suede strap—an elegant nod to the streetcar's cobblestones and metal elements. A handcrafted strap made of 100 percent Portuguese cork is also included.

Each watch is delivered in special packaging. The lid features a photographic image of Tram 28, and the packaging insert is embossed with the edition name, accompanied by a certificate documenting the exclusivity of this collaboration.

Joalharia Farreira Marques – a place with history

The collection was created in close collaboration with the traditional jewelry store Joalharia Farreira Marques, located in the heart of Lisbon. Large awnings, ornate wrought iron elements, and stained-glass windows give the store its elegant, historic Art Nouveau charm. Who knew? The store even served as the backdrop for a scene in the James Bond film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" (1969).
