At the UK premiere on July 8 of Johnny Depp's new film Modigliani: Three Days on the Wing of Madness in London Curzon Mayfair – one of the most elegant cinemas in the city – Johnny Depp the “Orb” by Vanguart.

The film, which Depp directed again after a long time, follows the exceptional Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani through three fateful days in Paris in 1916 – between madness, creativity and self-destruction. Visually opulent and emotionally intense, Modigliani a cinematic homage to the life of a genius on the edge.

The Watch – Vanguard Orb

With the Orb Vanguart presents a watch with sculptural appeal and technical excellence. The construction is designed for symmetry and spatial depth: the skeletonized movement and the open dial are distributed in clear planes over a height of just 10.5 mm.

At the center of the movement is a new, in-house Flying Tourbillon. Its unique feature: it can be operated manually or automatically – switched via the crown. When the automatic mode is activated, a diamond-encrusted mass begins to move along an inclined titanium track, rotating seemingly weightlessly around the movement. When manually set, it remains fixed – a mechanical detail with an almost poetic effect.

Made from Grade 5 titanium, with 395 individual parts, Superluminova indicators and 60 hours power reserve, the Orb a silent statement of independence – technically sophisticated, artistically precise, far from any conventional formal language – certainly fitting for the film.
