Diamantal: The new high jewellery brand from Tantalum is coming

Tantalum Wedding Rings from Magdeburg set new standards with wedding rings made of anthracite-gray tantalum. Now the family-owned company is writing a new chapter in its history: the new Diamantal brand is launching: a high-quality, dreamlike piece of jewelry made of diamonds—and, of course, tantalum.

Tantalum in jewelry: pioneering spirit with success

It's not easy to establish a new jewelry brand from scratch, but looking back, one can say: Francisco Marchant, founder and managing director of Tantalum Wedding Rings, did everything right.

The material for the manufacturer's wedding rings is tantalum in dark anthracite gray, which creates a unique look: timeless, modern—and a little different. Managing Director Francisco Marchant explains:

“The idea is to use the dark background of tantalum to add even more expression to the white diamonds through contrast.”

With this idea, Tantalum Wedding Rings was certainly a pioneer and trendsetter in the market when the brand was founded in 2015. The metal, which was previously known primarily for its medical applications, is now much more commonly found in wedding ring manufacturers' collections.

Tantalum is very durable and harder than platinum, making it the perfect material to symbolize eternal love. However, because it can only be melted at very high temperatures, it's not a metal well-suited for casting. Indeed, one must first acquire the skill to work with tantalum. The possibilities for goldsmiths are different.

Tantalum Wedding Rings specializes in this material and demonstrates craftsmanship expertise in the surface design of its special rings, which not only feature set diamonds but also expressive engravings that can only be created through individual handcraft.

Diamantal: The next chapter of the story

This year, Tantalum Wedding Rings celebrates 10 years since its founding in 2015—a milestone in the company's history. It's all the more fitting that the Magdeburg-based manufacturer is now opening a new chapter with the launch of its new brand after more than three years of development.

Diamantal—a play on words from diamonds and tantalum—finally elevates the wedding ring collections to the status of Haute Joaillerie, bringing the fascinating aura of the designs to life in the form of necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. Francisco Marchant and his team are once again pioneers in the development of new, attractive jewelry concepts.

Sneak Peak: The model wears not only rings, but also earrings and bracelets from Diamantal.

It remains classically beautiful: The collections consist exclusively of tantalum and diamonds – yet the gemstones sparkle not only in white, but also in the exclusive fancy colors yellow, red, blue, and black. The design deliberately limits itself to timeless shapes such as the circle and oval, enhanced by hand-set diamonds and hand-engraving, which lend the jewelry its special character.

Tantalum Wedding Rings has already delighted around 30 of its jewelry partners with the new Diamantal collection, but the brand is still so brand-new that many of the pieces have yet to be photographed, Francisco Marchant reveals in an interview. However, we can already showcase a few things. The new brand is expected to really explode at the upcoming Inhorgenta trade fair in February.

Tantalum wedding rings already attracted attention at this year's trade fair in Munich with live demonstrations of its craftsmanship. The launch of Diamantal is expected to generate even more interest.

Conclusion: A great and promising story, characterized by a spirit of innovation, talent, and the pursuit of the extraordinary.
