"Aquasphere Ocean Fade" from Hanhart: Proven watch in a new colour

With the new "Ocean Fade," water-resistant to 30 bar, the southern German brand Hanhart is expanding its "Aquasphere" collection, which is geared towards professional diving watches. The new dial features a gentle color gradient from bright blue to deep black – a homage to the depths of the ocean and a guarantee of optimal legibility, even underwater.

For free divers like Fabio Tunno (pictured left), the gradient from black to blue is more than just a design element – it symbolizes the decisive moment between deep darkness and the saving light of ascent. Just like the color gradient on the dial, an extreme diver feels moved in this moment from the oppressive stillness of the sea to a new breath of freedom and life.

Another new feature is the blue and black rubber strap, which not only securely secures the "Aquasphere Ocean Fade" to the wrist, but is also compatible with the "Aquasphere FreeFall Blue." Also new is the unidirectional rotating bezel, available in either black or blue, harmoniously rounding off the design.

Hanhart and the virtue of punctuality

The 42-millimeter stainless steel case houses an automatic caliber based on the SOP P024 from Soprod, equipped with a rotor bearing the Hanhart logo and a 38-hour power reserve.

Each movement is tested and adjusted at the Hanhart factory in Gütenbach. The specifications for accuracy are 0 to +8 seconds per day, averaged over six positions. This corresponds to the same deviation as +/-4 seconds, but Hanhart does not allow a minus second in the main positions. The German virtue of punctuality dictates that wearers of Hanhart watches should not be late due to the timepiece on their wrists. Furthermore, a maximum delta of ten seconds is permitted between positions.
