"Méditerranée" by Zeppelin: new colour, new work
The “Méditerranée” series from Pointtec brand Zeppelin, previously known for its warm beige and gold color scheme and Mediterranean retro design, now appears in a new, eye-catching version with a brilliant azure blue dial, inspired by the deep blue bays of the Mediterranean.
The new look also comes with a new movement: Inside the automatic watch with a 40-hour power reserve, a caliber based on the proven Miyota 9110 caliber with a 24-hour display, date, and day of the week operates precisely in a 40-millimeter stainless steel case water-resistant to 5 bar.

The “Méditerranée” is Made in Germany and is produced at the Pointtec branch in the watchmaking town of Ruhla in western Thuringia.
The story behind the clock
With its new azure blue dial, the "Méditerranée" harks back to the colors of the Mediterranean. And that's no coincidence. The watch is named after the legendary airship LZ 121, initially known as the Nordstern (North Star) before being handed over to France. From 1921 onward, under its new name Méditerranée, it connected southern France and Algeria across the Mediterranean.

The airship was an innovative development of its predecessors: with elegant, curved windows and asymmetrically arranged rows of seats, the Méditerranée offered space for 30 passengers – ten more than originally planned.
