Vicenzaoro Preview: Yana Nesper - Changeability with the elegance of the pearl

The Yana Nesper brand is bringing its timeless and elegant pearl designs from Pforzheim to Vicenza in Italy. The focus during the trade fair will be on the "WRAPme" and "Silk Magnet" collections, which are characterised by their particular versatility. Designer Yana Nesper will also provide insights into her inspiration and design philosophy.

Pearl jewellery for a luxurious understatement

As a luxury brand, Yana Nesper celebrates the beauty, modern interpretation and completely new design of pearl jewellery. The label stands for minimalism, high value, luxurious understatement and surprising design. The natural elegance of the finest genuine pearls is the guiding principle of designer Yana Nesper and the basis for the high-quality collections. 

The two new collections "WRAPme" and "Silk Magnet" will take centre stage at Vicenzaoro. The name "WRAPme" already hints at the high-quality design - the delicate pieces of jewellery can be playfully wrapped around the wrist or fingers. They combine warm, shimmering yellow gold with the elegant lustre of white Akoya pearls, creating an image of timeless, feminine elegance.

The pieces of jewellery from the "Silk Magnet" collection can be closed with an elegant, discreet magnetic clasp, which makes them velvety soft and comfortable to wear. The pieces of jewellery made from yellow gold and Akoya pearls are particularly versatile and the necklace can also be worn as a multi-row bracelet.

Interview with designer Yana Nesper

INSIGHT LUXURY: Mrs Nesper, how would you describe the design of your jewellery? 

YANA NESPER. The Yana Nesper brand stands for modern design that showcases the pearl prominently and unexpectedly, for changeability and for natural elegance. The pearl is the only jewel produced by a living being. It has something fascinating, gentle, feminine and at the same time precious about it. Pearls have been in vogue for several years now, and interest in them continues to grow. Versatility is particularly in demand at the moment. Many of our jewellery pieces are designed so that they can be worn in different ways. One example is our LOVE necklace - it can be styled in three different ways to create a variety of looks. Other designs allow you to move the beads around, so you can change the look of the jewellery again and again. Nowadays, jewellery is worn more creatively and flexibly.

IL: Are there any particular influences or inspirations?

YN: Fashion magazines, trade fairs, Instagram, books, exhibitions and music - they all influence my style. I also draw inspiration from travelling, where I am fascinated by a wide variety of things: Japanese minimalism, Italian opulence, French chic. But above all, my designs are characterised by an intimate connection to fashion. For me, jewellery is always part of my own style and therefore also part of my personality. The modern Parisian style currently has a huge influence on my designs, which is why our current campaign took place in a typically Parisian setting.

IL: What significance does Vicenzaoro have for you as a trade fair?

YN: Vicenzaoro is very important for Yana Nesper in terms of our international orientation. Since the cancellation of the trade fair in Basel, this event has been a very high priority for us. While Inhorgenta in Munich is mainly aimed at the national market, including the directly neighbouring countries, first-class customers from all over Europe, America and Asia come to Vicenza. Participation is therefore essential for us.
