Orient Star presents shooting stars for the wrist

The annual Perseid meteor shower recently conjured up a beautiful spectacle in the night sky. Those who missed it and don't want to wait until next year can enjoy the "M34 F8 Date" model from the Japanese brand Orient Star, limited to 160 pieces.

This one is inspired by the shower of shooting stars and reflects it with its shimmering dial.

This is made possible by the so-called nanoparticle metal multilayering technology, in which ink made of nanometer-sized, ultrafine metal particles is injected onto the dial in multiple layers.

This creates the impression of “infinite expanses” under the double-domed sapphire crystal.

The dial is manufactured at the Shinshu Watch Studios in Nagano, Japan. Processes such as surface finishing, indice application, printing, plating, and hand manufacturing are carried out there.

Behind the dial, the automatic in-house caliber F8N64 with a 60-hour power reserve and a silicon escape wheel works. It is protected by the 40-millimeter stainless steel case, water-resistant to 10 bar, and featuring a sapphire crystal case back.
