Geneva Watch Days 2025: Alpina and 2 water-compatible innovations
Water-resistant? Doesn't the Swiss brand with its "alpine" name and the red triangle symbolizing the Alps actually represent the heights of the great mountain range between Central and Southern Europe? Yes, it does, and the brand, founded in 1883, isn't changing that. But Alpina has also always stood for robust and adventure-ready watches. And they're in demand both on and under water.

And in the world of sports: In 1938, the watch manufacturer, which has been part of the Citizen Group since 2016, launched its concept of a sports watch with the "Alpina 4" model, which combines four fundamental features: shockproof, non-magnetic, waterproof, and made of stainless steel. To this day, it also combines attractive looks and a commitment to affordable prices.

Today, Alpina extends this commitment to the creation of watches dedicated to three elements: the "Startimer" represents air, the "Seastrong" water, and the "Alpiner" earth. At this year's Geneva Watch Days, the brand is presenting two new "Seastrong" models.

2 x “Seastrong Diver Extreme Automatic” in a vintage look
These new timepieces combine either the familiar black dial or its khaki counterpart with new indices and hand tips in the color Old Radium, typical of the 1920s and 1930s. Both versions retain the 39-millimeter steel case, water-resistant to 30 bar, which features a screw-down crown and a unidirectional rotating bezel.

Both new models are worn on a robust, textured rubber strap with a satin-finished stainless steel folding clasp. The AL-525 automatic movement with a 38-hour power reserve provides reliable power.
