Mühle-Glashütte presents a new "29er Casual" in coastal blue

The "29er" collection is one of the Glashütte-based brand's most extensive watch families. From chronographs to classic three-hand watches with day and/or date displays, variants with small seconds, a date dial, and a Big Line line, it offers a wide variety of sporty timepieces.

The 29er is named after the small sailing dinghy in which young sailors compete in the German Sailing Association's Youth Championship class. The 29er is considered particularly fast, maneuverable, and dynamic.

Dial in coastal blue

This dynamic inspired a coastal blue dial with a crystal-clear minute track, gradient finish, and sunburst finish. In addition to the vibrant look, this also ensures comfortable legibility – always a top priority for Mühle-Glashütte. The applied indices, hour markers, and hands coated with Superluminova also ensure this.

Slim case with format

The familiar frame is the 42.4-millimeter stainless steel case, featuring the varied finishes typical of the "29er." The bezel has a brushed top, while the sides are polished. The middle section of the case features a vertical grind and is framed by the bezel and the equally polished sides of the case back.

The case, which is water-resistant to ten bar, measures just 9.75 millimeters in height. This relatively low height is thanks to the SW 300-1 in the Mühle version and the newly developed dials for the "29er Casual," which, unlike other "29er" models, do not feature a rehaut.

Swiss precision à la Glashütte

The slim automatic movement is a heavily modified version of Sellita's proven Swiss base movement with a 56-hour power reserve. It measures just 3.6 millimeters thick and is first disassembled and technically tested at the Glashütte manufactory. During subsequent reassembly, Mühle-Glashütte equips it with, among other things, the shock-resistant woodpecker neck adjustment, including a matching balance cock, and the efficient Mühle rotor.

After assembly, the Mühle movement is regulated in six positions and adjusted so that its rate is between 0 and +8 seconds per day. The in-house regulation specification is based on the chronometer standard and is designed to prevent the watch from running slow: "Because no wearer of a Mühle watch should be late for a well-deserved weekend trip because of their watch" – that's the motto of the family company.
