Geneva Watch Days 2025: All the highlights from Geneva, part 5 - Ready to dive in
Alpina, Doxa, Squale
We had a look around the Geneva Watch Days, braving rain, thunderstorms and heat, but also enjoying the bright sunshine and late summer atmosphere. At least always on the walkways between the numerous exhibition locations in Geneva, which makes this watch event something very special.
But it wasn't just the pedometer on our smartphones or smartwatches that demonstrated our active movement through the world of beautiful timepieces during our visit to the Geneva Watch Days. This overview of the highlights from Geneva is also a reflection of how we move through the latest innovations from watchmakers. And the range is wide - we promise.
Part 5: Diving watches with style
What makes a diver's watch a diver's watch? This is defined by the DIN 8306 and ISO 6425 standards, and the requirements to be met include water resistance, readability under water and the ability to measure dive time.
ISO 6425 is the best-known standard for diving watches, but there are also other standards, some of which contain different or additional test requirements. These include DIN 8306, for example, which has more specific and stricter requirements in some cases.
