Market data is exciting and forms the basis for many business decisions, including, of course, in the watch trade - but how is it actually generated?

The basis is formed by the Sales figures of the participating retailers. These are fed into the GfK system automatically, continuously and, of course, anonymised and in compliance with data protection regulations.

The figures are then combined with those of all participants and aggregated. Through the Evaluation across all sales channels can be used to recognise patterns, calculate market shares, identify sales potential and recognise trends. This provides a precise picture of how individual products, brands or segments are performing in comparison to the market as a whole.
