WatchTime Düsseldorf 2025: Diving chronometer 5303 from Serica
Founded in 2019 by Jérôme Burgert and Gabriel Vachette, every watch from the brand now houses a COSC-certified movement. Once the movement is installed in the finished watch, the Swiss brand conducts additional in-house testing to ensure it meets the highest standards.

This also applies to the new anti-magnetic diving chronometer 5303. Its case is not only water-resistant to 30 bar, but also offers a magnetic resistance of over 50,000 A/m. Serica relies on the "old-fashioned" method, made possible by the switch to the flat Soprod caliber M100 with a 42-hour power reserve. This method involves building a soft iron cage around the movement to redirect the magnetic fields.

This three-part cage improves the current Swiss standard in magnetic strength by tenfold, increasing the usual 4,800 A/m to over 50,000 A/m.
Naturally, the 5303 is equipped with a unidirectional rotating diver's watch bezel, featuring a ceramic insert and a scale for 60 minutes, 12 hours, and a 15-minute countdown. The large, easy-grip crown is positioned either at 3 or 9 o'clock.

Beneath the two-millimeter-thick, double-domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, the precision of the internal drive within the 39-millimeter stainless steel case of the diver's watch can be read on an enameled dial in black, dark blue, or white. The domed, Superluminova-coated indices provide orientation. The latter also applies to the white or black lacquered hands.

The “5303” costs €1,490.
