In order to provide buyers and sellers alike with security, eBay has introduced a Free authentication introduced. It applies to luxury watches with a retail price of 1,800 Euro and is developed in collaboration with the specialist Stoll & Co. carried out.

Each watch undergoes a precise check: Crown, bezel, dial, movement, case, clasp, hands and Serial number are checked individually. Only when every detail is convincing is a NFC-enabled authenticity card issued. It contains all the relevant information about the watch - from the model and reference number to the movement and bracelet - and accompanies the timepiece on its further journey.

Buy safely, sell calmly

After successful testing, the watch is dispatched directly to the buyer. Returns are also processed by the inspection centre so that authenticity is guaranteed at all times.
For sellers, this means more transparency and trust. For buyers: security when purchasing a high-quality timepiece - whether in a buy-it-now or auction.
