WatchTime Düsseldorf 2025: With the Köln, Laco succeeds in combining aviator and diver
With the new “Cologne” models, Laco demonstrates once again how historical roots and contemporary design can be combined to create a harmonious whole.
The name refers to a city that stands for openness, dynamism, and diversity. These qualities are also reflected in the watch. The "Köln" from Laco is not just a homage to the past, but a model that translates the spirit of the classic pilot's watch into the present.

At 41 millimeters, it features a format never before seen in the Laco range. The case is available in two versions: brushed stainless steel and a gray, sandblasted finish, reminiscent of the striking look of classic Laco pilot's watches. This reduces reflections and emphasizes the functional tool watch character.
The combination of surfaces with the matching bracelet options results in three variants: The bright stainless steel version is available with either a solid metal bracelet or a Fibertech bracelet, while the grey version is available exclusively with a Fibertech bracelet, the clasp of which is color-coordinated with the case.
Fibertech is a new, waterproof material that gives the watch a sporty, technical touch and is ideal for its 20-bar water resistance.

Another eye-catcher is the ceramic bezel, which subtly opens the watch to the style of a sporty diving watch. Diver models have always been recognizable by their rotating bezel, a distinctive timekeeping tool. The "Köln" incorporates this design element without denying its origins as a pilot's watch. The result is a successful blend of classic cockpit aesthetics and modern sportiness.

The dial follows the typical A pattern, typical of classic pilot's watches. The B pattern was deliberately omitted to avoid diluting the clarity of the displays.
The thermally blued bezel hands underscore the precise, functional character. They are filled with Superluminova C1, which is also found on the dial and bezel.

The Swiss Sellita SW200 automatic movement can be seen through the crystal caseback. Built with Elaboré quality as standard, Laco, as always, offers the option of upgrading to the top version with increased precision or to decoratively refined versions. And the front sapphire crystal can be enhanced with an anti-reflective coating on both sides upon request.

The "Cologne" starts at €1,190 for the brushed stainless steel version with a Fibertech band. The metal band version costs €50 extra. The gray sandblasted version starts at €1,270.
