The Pantone Color of the Year 2025 is the creamy, pastel shade of Mocha Mousse. Mondaine has now created a watch model from its "essence" collection in this cozy and pleasant color. It is limited to 300 models worldwide.

Mondaine is now expanding the "essence" collection with a very special, limited-edition model of only 300 pieces worldwide: the new "essence Mocha," a beautifully crafted timepiece in the official trend color of the year: Mocha Mousse.

Mocha Mousse – Color of the Year 

Mocha Mousse is a delicate and particularly refined shade of brown, somewhere between chocolate and coffee, that exudes simplicity, earthiness, warmth, and effortless elegance. The limited "Mocha" edition combines the warm and inviting hues of Mocha Mousse with the clean and timeless design of the Swiss Railway Clock. The dial features an intricately textured wave pattern that adds visual depth and a natural accent. The contrasting white hands and markers ensure excellent legibility. The world-famous red second hand, a hallmark of the original design of the Swiss Railway Clock, perfectly rounds off the overall look in terms of color and precision. This new color variant lends the design of the Swiss Railway Clock an earthy and pleasant tone, complementing the iconic minimalist design with a contemporary touch. 

High-quality and sustainable materials 

The "essence Mocha" features a lightweight case made of castor oil composite, an innovative material blend of 40 percent castor oil from the castor oil plant, 30 percent fiberglass, 2 percent color pigments, and just 28 percent fossil oil for strength and durability. The case is paired with a vegan grape leather strap in a rich mocha brown. Mondaine collaborates with VEGEA™, an Italian company specializing in transforming waste from wine production into a plant-based leather alternative. The materials used in the watch reflect Mondaine's ongoing commitment to sustainability, from material sourcing to the production and recycling process. All Mondaine watches are manufactured in Mondaine's state-of-the-art factory in Switzerland, which is 80 percent powered by its own solar energy. The remaining 20 percent is supplied by a local hydroelectric power plant. Mondaine is a pioneer in eco-friendly watchmaking and is known for its carbon-neutral operations and support of reforestation and other environmental initiatives.

The "essence Mocha" is powered by a Swiss Ronda 513 movement that embodies precision with every tick. The practical quick-release system facilitates quick and easy strap swapping and supports the longevity of the watch. The new special edition in the color of the year 2025 is limited to 300 pieces worldwide, underscoring the exclusivity of the design. The individual number of each piece is engraved on the case back.
