WatchTime 2025: Luminous diving watch “U1 SL” from SINN

When absolute legibility becomes a priority, the "U1 SL" from Sinn Spezialuhren is at the forefront. Limited to 300 pieces, this diver's watch combines robust functionality with innovative luminosity.

The highlight: The dial and the main markers on the rotating bezel glow intensely. The extremely strong luminosity of the "U1 SL" from SINN is achieved through a special form of luminous application.

The luminous element is incorporated into a mold using a casting process. After the hardening process, a hybrid ceramic component is created, which is then bonded to the base metal dial. The final processing step involves printing the combined components – a complex process with impressive results: extreme luminous intensity and perfect readability – even in the dark. The SW 200-1 from Sellita ensures the necessary precision.

Lothar Schmidt, CEO Sinn Spezialuhren

Lothar Schmidt (owner of SINN):

"WatchTime is the meeting place in Germany for all watch enthusiasts and people who are passionate about mechanical wristwatches. This is made possible by the interesting brands that exhibit there. Informative panel discussions also offer deep insights into the industry and perfectly complement the event.

The encounter with the watch community and the enthusiasm that can be felt everywhere are what make this event so special. We're looking forward to the event, and fans of our brand can look forward to new timepieces again this year!"

The “U1 SL” also makes a powerful visual statement: With its striking design and reduced display, it remains wearable, even outside of the water.

Behind it all lies SINN technology: The 44-millimeter case and crown are made of high-strength, non-magnetic submarine steel, which is characterized by its seawater resistance. The black hard coating based on Tegiment technology ensures a sophisticated appearance. And because SINN never compromises on reliability, the rotating bezel is permanently attached to the case.

Tested? Of course. An independent testing institute has certified the pressure resistance up to 100 bar, the temperature resistance, and the functionality in accordance with European diving equipment standards.
