Rediscover watch classics from the 1910s

The new watch creations that Cartier proudly presents take popular vintage designs from the early 20th century and give them an attractive new look. Here, watchmaking and jewelry craftsmanship find perfect harmony. Examples of this luxurious vintage revival are the two Cartier classics, the "Tank Américaine" and the "Panthère de Cartier," with their elegant white gold look and white diamond highlights.

American Tank

The new version of the "Tank Américaine" is a watch accessory for connoisseurs and enthusiasts: Its style is as unique as its shape, transformed into a glamorous evening model by 569 diamonds and a discreet mini format. The silver-colored, satin-finished dial nestles comfortably on the wrist and remains true to the classic Tank design elements: sleek side bars, a rail decoration with rounded corners, sword-shaped hands in blued steel, and a winding crown set with a brilliant-cut diamond. The bracelet, perfectly integrated into the lugs, underscores the roots of this jewelry watch, while the diamond-studded links nestle imperceptibly against the skin. A masterpiece of Cartier's jewelry and watchmaking art that is as feminine as it is creative.

The new “Panthère de Cartier” shimmers with hundreds of diamonds and features the iconic dial with Roman numerals.

The entirely diamond-set version of the "Panthère de Cartier" showcases the iconic watch at its most elegant: In addition to the 370 diamonds on the bracelet, 106 more illuminate the case, giving the watch an unmistakable presence. The simple dial provides a harmonious contrast and incorporates all the design elements of the Panthère: a silver-colored background, rail decoration, sword-shaped hands in blued steel, and a secret signature. The result is an extraordinary overall composition, rounded off by the winding crown set with a brilliant-cut diamond.

Elegance and harmony in the sign of the oval

The iconic "Baignoire de Cartier" is all about the elegant oval shape. The dial design is slightly curved, allowing it to fit the wrist perfectly. In the new designs, the "Baignoire" reveals itself in the shimmer of hundreds of diamonds, intricately set by hand, transforming the jewelry watch into a luxurious statement piece.

Three years ago, the "Baignoire" received a new version with a bangle instead of a bracelet. This expresses the unique perspective that Cartier brings to watchmaking as a jeweler. It demonstrates that preciousness can be both limitless and elegant. This also applies to its latest version.

The watch's design is highlighted by the 380 brilliant-cut diamonds on the bracelet and 171 diamonds on the oval case. The dial, protected by a domed sapphire crystal, features a silver-colored, grained background, against which anthracite-colored Roman numerals and sword-shaped hands made of blued steel stand out.

The bracelet clasp, operated by two push-pieces, is virtually invisible, thus underscoring the watch's elegant design. The diamond on the winding crown adds an additional, elegant accent. Setting the 552 diamonds took a total of eight hours – an impressive exercise in concentration and care, made even more challenging by the watch's curves and demonstrating the craftsmanship at Cartier.

Cocktail watches full of glamour and charm

Cartier offers a range of watch designs known as "cocktail watches," distinguished by their particularly delicate, jewelry-like character. They evoke memories of classic evening models from the 1920s.

These watch models are characterized by their geometric shapes, which, thanks to their miniature form, achieve the perfect balance between a striking look and feminine elegance. Their design pays homage to the popular Art Deco style; the cocktail watches sparkle in the light of diamonds and feature attractive accents of emerald and onyx—colors that were typical of Cartier's style at the beginning of the 20th century.
