Oris presents further developed „ProPilot Date“
The new "ProPilot Date" from Oris is the evolution and redesign of a true classic: the brand's first dedicated pilot's watch, the "Big Crown Pointer Date." Since its introduction in 1938, it has been a mainstay of the Swiss watch manufacturer's collection.
The origins of the timepiece lie in the early days of aviation, when pilots had to provide their own instruments for navigation. This is why, for example, the Oris "Big Crown Pointer Date" features an oversized crown and large Arabic numerals: legibility and user-friendliness have always been paramount. The "ProPilot Date," introduced in 2014, is based on the pilot's watch design of the "Big Crown Pointer Date.".

„ProPilot Date“ – a reinterpretation of an Oris classic
The new "ProPilot Date", water-resistant to 10 bar, features several updated details. This places it firmly in the tradition of innovations in previous models, which included features such as an altimeter and carbon fiber construction.
The stainless steel case has been subtly refined, featuring cleaner shapes and sharper lines in a 41-millimeter format. Satin-finished and polished surfaces meet the angled, fluted bezel. The oversized crown, another key element of the "ProPilot" design, has also been reworked for improved usability.

The dial has also been updated and now features a textured design in black, chalk, or moss green, reminiscent of natural materials. It also includes a new dial ring design and redesigned luminous hands.

The "ProPilot Date" is worn on a stainless steel or suede strap with a so-called LIFT clasp. The leather strap also features stepless length adjustment. Visually, the clasp has a more angular design with a beveled edge.

Inside, the automatic caliber 733 ensures the precision of the hour, minute, second, stop-seconds, and date functions. The power reserve is 41 hours.
