A. Lange & Söhne opens a new location in London
A. Lange & Söhne has opened a new, four-story flagship boutique in London's prestigious Mayfair district on Old Bond Street. The glass manufacturer aims to strengthen its presence in the British market with this move.
After New York, Dubai, Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Frankfurt, Old Bond Street is the eighth flagship boutique of the German brand A. Lange & Söhne, which has been part of the Richemont Group since 2000.
On the ground floor, visitors are greeted with an introduction to the history of the brand and its six watch families. In the lounge, flooded with natural light through a skylight, the traditional London club aesthetic blends with the contemporary ambiance of A. Lange & Söhne.
On the first floor, the focus shifts to craftsmanship. This is illustrated by an installation showcasing several hundred individual, hand-finished movement components of a "Zeitwerk" model – Lange's award-winning mechanical digital watch. Visitors can also discover other intricate movements and objects here.
The stairwell leading upwards is dedicated to further clockwork functions, showcasing a collection of enlarged moon discs.
On the second floor, there is another lounge area, whose interior design, deliberately inspired by the Mayfair setting, offers a completely new and exclusive ambiance. On the third floor, a watchmaker also works, further enhancing the customer experience by providing direct insights into Lange's watchmaking expertise.
