Alpina presents the „Alpiner Extreme Automatic Freeride World Tour Special Edition“
That's right, the name of this watch reveals that Alpina is the official timekeeper of the Freeride World Tour (FWT). And they have been since 2018. For the upcoming edition of this spectacular ski competition series, which starts on January 16, 2026, the Swiss brand has once again created a special edition, which is not limited.
The Freeride World Tour (FWT) is one of the world's most challenging and technically demanding ski competitions and will enter its 19th season next year. The venues are always the most challenging extreme skiing and snowboarding locations in the world. In 2026, these will be in Spain, France, Georgia, Austria, Alaska, and Switzerland, where the finals will take place in Verbier from March 28th to April 5th. Alpina will be there.
The new „Alpiner Extreme Automatic FWT“ features for the first time the distinctive FWT logo as an embossed design on the dial in Alpine rock grey: a stylized Alpine peak with a freeride track.

It comes with a black rubber strap, specially designed for outdoor sports, and is powered by a Swiss-made AL-525 caliber, offering a 38-hour power reserve and displaying hours, minutes, central seconds, and date. It is protected by the distinctive, satin-finished "Alpiner" case, water-resistant to 20 bar, in a compact 39 x 40.5 mm format.

Nicolas Hale-Woods (Founder and CEO of the FWT) emphasizes: „For almost a decade, Alpina has shared far more than just a partnership with the Freeride World Tour: a true vision of the mountains, characterized by commitment, precision and daring. The new ‚Alpiner Extreme‘ perfectly embodies this spirit – the spirit of freeriders who face the elements with skill and creativity.“
