Alpina's first solar watch: Alpiner Extreme Solarmetre
Suitable for outdoor use, with a large power reserve of ten months and sustainable – the „Alpiner Extreme Solarmetre“ combines these features with the proven robustness of the „Alpiner“ collection.
Alpina deliberately chose the "Alpiner Extreme" as its solar debut collection, the brand's top line. This demonstrates that they are serious about solar technology and not just jumping on a trend.

For the necessary light-powered precision, Alpina relies on the solar-quartz caliber 140, developed by the Swiss manufacturer La Joux-Perret for the "Alpiner Extreme Solarmetre". Both companies belong to the Citizen Group, which boasts decades of expertise in solar watches with its Eco-Drive technology.
The energy management of the „Alpine Extreme Solarmetre“: Durable and fast

As long as the new Alpina solar watch receives natural or artificial light, it can't be stopped, because the battery is constantly being recharged. It would take ten months of continuous darkness for it to completely discharge.
If it is then exposed to light for ten seconds, it is ready to go again. And a single minute of light exposure is enough to recharge the energy required for a full day of operation. With the crown pulled out, the power reserve is even four years.

The 37.5-millimeter stainless steel case provides protection up to a pressure of ten bar. It encloses the dial, which is available in burgundy, light green, light blue, dark blue, and white. All models feature efficient solar cells, invisibly concealed beneath the dial, which, like the movement, are a new development.

The main design element, however, is the triangular pattern – a tribute to the brand's historic emblem. It forms the background for the hour, minute, and central seconds displays, as well as the date at 3 o'clock. Super-LumiNova indices and hands enhance readability.

The „Alpiner Extreme Solarmetre“ models with wine-red and light blue dials are worn on a steel bracelet with a folding clasp, while the three other variants are secured by a color-coordinated rubber strap.
