TAG Heuer and Tiffany revive classic design codes: chronographs at sea and for the red carpet
A chronograph function, along with the date display, is probably the best-known and most sought-after feature on wristwatches. Beyond its practical use, it also demonstrates that the wearer doesn't simply let time pass by, but measures, controls, and is active.
With the LVMH Watch Week 2026 In Milan, very different brands such as TAG Heuer and Tiffany showcased their technical and design expertise in short-term measurement.
TAG Heuer: „Seafarer“ for ebb and flow
TAG Heuer made its name crafting chronographs, specializing early on in precise timekeeping for horse and ski races. The brand is, of course, best known for its role in motorsports. The fact that it also produced watches for regatta sailors was long known only to collectors, until TAG Heuer revived this tradition in 2023 with the "Carrera Skipper": a regatta chronograph that displays the countdown to the starting gun.

It is now followed by another nautical „Carrera“ chronograph with an even rarer complication: the „Seafarer“ with tide indicator based on a 1949 model.
The newly developed automatic caliber TH20-04 displays the ebb and flow of the tides in a precise lunar cycle and can be set via a pusher at 9 o'clock. The striking color scheme maintains a balance between the historical and contemporary design features of the "Carrera".

Tiffany: „Timer“ in Tiffany blue
Tiffany & Co. is celebrating the 160th anniversary of its first in-house (then, of course, pocket) chronographs with a lavishly equipped model. The "Timer" embodies a wealth of company history and rightfully showcases this through the color of its dial. The company is essentially reclaiming this color from successful models by other brands like Patek Philippe, which the watch world has dubbed "Tiffany Blue.".

Tiffany & Co.'s tradition as a jeweler is evident in the platinum case of the "Timer" and the diamond indices.

And the long-standing collaboration with outstanding watch brands continues here as well: The chronograph is powered by an „El Primero“ caliber from the group’s sister company Zenith.
The rotor of the automatic movement, in turn, is entirely Tiffany, featuring a hand-crafted „Bird on the Rock“ in yellow gold, an iconic jewelry motif of the traditional house.
This makes the „Timer“ an eminent piece of craftsmanship history – and at the same time fully suitable for lifestyle.
