Hamburg Chrono Edition Neuwerk by Sternglas: Orientation, consistency, time

Neuwerk is more than just an island. For over 700 years, it has guided ships into the Elbe River and symbolized orientation and continuity. The "Hamburg Chrono Edition Neuwerk" from the Hamburg-based watch brand Sternglas embraces this spirit and translates it into a functional chronograph, limited to 1,999 pieces and delivered with a certificate of authenticity.

Inspired by Neuwerk – Hamburg's oldest landmark

The anthracite-colored, satin-finished dial is slightly domed and coated with orange Luminova, ensuring reliable legibility day and night. Contrasting silver and turquoise needle hands, also coated with luminous material, echo the colors of water, sky, and navigation. Despite the chronograph function of this new Sternglas watch, the display remains deliberately understated and balanced.

Inside, the TMI VK64 mecha-quartz chronograph movement combines the precision of a quartz movement with the tactile feedback of a mechanical chronograph. The chronograph seconds hand starts instantly and resets precisely after stopping. The movement is complemented by a date display at 6 o'clock and a 24-hour indicator, further emphasizing the watch's instrumental character.

The 42-millimeter stainless steel case, water-resistant to 5 bar, combines brushed and polished surfaces and, with a case height of 10 millimeters, offers comfortable wearability. The dial is protected by double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The case back, secured with four screws, features a special Nuewerk edition engraving.

The Hamburg Chrono Edition Neuwerk comes with a vintage Nero red Italian leather strap specially developed for this limited edition. Alternatively, the chronograph is available with a stainless steel or field bracelet. All strap options feature a quick-release system and can be changed without tools.
