Frederique Constant honors young watchmakers for outstanding achievements

As part of Inhorgenta 2026, the Central Association of Watchmakers honored the best young talents of the German watchmaking trade.

The winners of the German Championship were honored in a ceremony on the Watch Talks stage in Hall A1 of the Inhorenta trade fair. Albert Fischer, President of the Central Association of Watchmakers, presented the awards to the top three young watchmakers.

In recognition of their exceptional achievements, the winners received high-quality mechanical wristwatches, donated by Frederique Constant, Tutima Glashütte, and Rolex Germany. They and their instructors were also invited to the exclusive Inhorgenta Award Gala.

Third place this year went to Yannik Weber (pictured left), an apprentice at Robin Israel. His meticulous craftsmanship, technical understanding, and great dedication impressed the jury, underscoring the high quality of German watchmaking training.

Weber's prize is a "Classics Premiere" from Frederique Constant. The 38.5-millimeter stainless steel watch is equipped with the La Joux-Perret G100 caliber, offers a 68-hour power reserve, and features a "Côte de Genève" finish visible through the sapphire crystal case back. The vintage-style blue dial completes the classic look.

In addition to recognizing individual achievements, the Central Association aims to inspire more young people to pursue a career as a watchmaker. Financial support programs and additional measures to attract new talent will continue to be supported by renowned industry partners in 2026. This is intended to ensure the long-term future of the watchmaking trade.
