Tudor takes off with the Flying Bulls

There is hardly anything more daring than piloting an 80-year-old aerobatic plane at the very limits of its flight envelope or flying a helicopter upside down. For the Flying Bulls, however, this is just another day in the cockpit. Tudor is on board as an official partner.

With twelve pilots flying a fleet of 45 aircraft—including rare historic planes and helicopters—the Flying Bulls are among the most daring performers in aviation today. At their shows around the world, the fearless pilots push the limits of the aircraft they fly and amaze audiences with maneuvers and stunts that seem to defy the laws of physics.

About the Flying Bulls

The history of the Flying Bulls began in the 1980s. At that time, Sigi Angerer was flying modern jets as a pilot for Tyrolean Airways. His true passion, however, lay with historic aircraft. While searching for an affordable “warbird,” he eventually found a North American T-28B and brought it to Innsbruck, Austria, for restoration. Soon after, he added a Grumman G44 Widgeon and the legendary Chance Vought F4U-4 Corsair to his collection. Eventually, he met Dietrich Mateschitz.

The founder of Red Bull saw these extraordinary aircraft as the perfect embodiment of the advertising slogan “Red Bull gives you wings.” This gave rise to the idea of the Flying Bulls and, in 1999, the company “The Flying Bulls.” Since then, the “Flying Bulls” have become true stars of the skies thanks to their combination of technical mastery and breathtaking design.

Tudor – “Born to Dare”

In 2017, Tudor launched a new campaign under the tagline “Born to Dare.” It tells the stories of people who, wearing a Tudor watch on their wrist, have achieved extraordinary feats on land, on ice, in the air, and underwater. At the same time, the slogan reflects the vision of Hans Wilsdorf, who founded Tudor with the goal of developing watches capable of withstanding even the most extreme conditions.
