New solar-powered watches from Junghans: Let the sun shine into the movement

You wouldn’t guess that the “Meister Mega Solar” runs entirely on light—until you spot the “Mega Solar” lettering beneath the brand logo on the dial.

True to the “Meister” style, the Sonnenanbeterin from the Junghans collection is an elegant unisex model featuring a slim case, slender baton hands with luminescent coating, stick indices, and a domed sapphire crystal.

The stainless steel case, which is water-resistant to 5 bar and measures 38 x 10.3 millimeters, is available in a polished finish with a pure stainless steel look or a sand-gold PVD coating. It houses the J101.85 Connected Radio-Controlled Solar Movement, featuring a perpetual calendar, radio signal reception in Europe, the UK, Japan, and the US, as well as a three-year power reserve in darkness. The movement generates energy via a solar cell beneath the dial, which continuously charges the battery.

The case back, secured with five screws, features a mineral crystal that is printed with a sun motif on the inside. The new “Meister Mega Solar” is available on a gold-colored Milanese mesh or leather strap.
