MeisterSinger Edition Route 66: Single-hand watch featuring the Ford Mustang
Route 66 was officially opened in 1926. To mark the 100th anniversary of the legendary highway, MeisterSinger is presenting a single-hand watch limited to 100 pieces. The Route 66 Edition is based on the No. 03 and combines a Ford Mustang-inspired dial with a model car and a specially designed presentation box.
Dial modeled after a Mustang steering wheel
The black dial has a two-layer design. The lower layer features concentric circles, overlaid by a design with six silver-white spokes. Its design is inspired by the wheel of a Ford Mustang. The historic Route 66 sign and the white single hand with a red tip add further accents.
The display follows the typical MeisterSinger principle: A single hand circles the dial once every twelve hours, indicating both hours and minutes. The fine minute track divides each hour into five-minute increments. This makes the time less precise to the second, but allows it to be grasped at a glance as a segment.
43 millimeters, stainless steel
The stainless steel case measures 43 millimeters in diameter. A sapphire crystal protects the dial, and the watch is water-resistant to five bar. The watch is worn on a black vintage saddle leather strap with red contrast stitching and a pin buckle.
The back of the watch continues the theme. On the transparent case back lies a semi-transparent Route 66 sign, complemented by the individual number of each piece. Behind it, the automatic Sellita SW200 movement operates with a power reserve of 38 hours.
Collector’s Box Featuring a Red Ford Mustang
The edition includes a detailed 1:18-scale model of a red Ford Mustang convertible. The watch and the car are delivered in a box whose design is inspired by the desert landscape along Route 66. With this release, MeisterSinger continues a series of automotive special editions that previously included models featuring the VW T1 and the Jaguar E-Type.
