A material debut from 1986

The Integral holds a special place in Rado’s history. When it debuted in 1986, the brand used high-tech ceramic in a production collection for the first time. The material became a defining feature of the model family—and later a key hallmark of Rado.

The rectangular watch combines a gold-colored dial with five black baguette diamonds and a bracelet made of gold-plated stainless steel and polished black high-tech ceramic.

The watch’s distinctive design is also preserved: a slim, rectangular case, a nearly flush transition to the bracelet, and black ceramic elements that extend across the wrist like a continuous line.

Gold tone and black baguette diamonds

For the first time in the redesigned Integral collection, Rado is using a gold-colored dial. The vertically brushed surface serves as the backdrop for minimalist black hands and the black Rado and Jubilé logos.

Five black-tinted baguette diamonds mark the positions at three, six, nine, and twelve o’clock. The total carat weight is 0.05 carats. The date window is located at six o’clock and is integrated into the dial in such a way that the clean geometry of the display is preserved.

Slim case with domed sapphire crystal

The PVD-coated stainless steel case measures 28 millimeters wide, 39.8 millimeters long, and 7.3 millimeters thick. A metallized black bezel accentuates the rectangular contour of the domed sapphire crystal. The inside of the crystal is anti-reflective.

The case and crystal are slightly curved, allowing them to follow the contours of the wrist. The center links, made of polished black high-tech ceramic, are designed to enhance wearing comfort not only through their scratch resistance but also, above all, through their light weight and a smooth surface that quickly warms to body temperature. The bracelet fastens with a triple-fold stainless steel clasp.

The stainless steel base is engraved with “LIMITED EDITION, XXXX/1986,” identifying each piece individually. Thus, the anniversary reference is not limited to the number of pieces produced: The new Integral combines the design language of the original with the material combination that has defined the character of the collection for four decades.

R279 quartz movement with PreciDrive

Inside, the watch is powered by the Rado Caliber R279, a quartz movement featuring PreciDrive technology, two hands, and a date display. The choice of a quartz movement is in keeping with the Integral’s slim design and historically clean lines. It is water-resistant to 5 bar, or 50 meters.
