Jewelry Discoveries: MAZBANI—From Colored Gemstones to Diamonds
MAZBANI features large colored gemstones, dynamic shapes, and deliberately bold contrasts. The current selection ranges from coral hearts to tsavorite and tanzanite, as well as turquoise, black, and white brilliant-cut diamonds.
MAZBANI is a Vienna-based family business founded in 1998 and now run by the second generation. The jewelry is crafted in the company’s own goldsmith’s workshop and combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary designs and a distinct affinity for vibrantly colored gemstones.
Color as a Starting Point
In the 18-karat rose gold leaf ring, 2.90 carats of tsavorite form the green surface of an organically shaped design. The Deep Blue ring, on the other hand, features a 15-carat tanzanite as its centerpiece, combined with Paraiba tourmalines and brilliant-cut diamonds.

The Coral Heart Ring also draws its appeal from the contrast between its vibrant color and dark setting: black rhodium-plated brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 4.50 carats frame the heart motif. The turquoise earrings follow the same principle, combining the light stone color with 7.40 carats of black brilliant-cut diamonds.

Diamonds Between Surface and Line
An 18-karat white gold ring arranges 11.80 carats of black and white brilliant-cut diamonds into a graphic design. In contrast, the Lilit necklace in rose gold features accents along a curved line; a total of 4.10 carats of brilliant-cut diamonds accentuate the shape.

Large-format gemstones define the scale, color, and silhouette of the jewelry pieces. Coral, tsavorite, tanzanite, and turquoise serve as standalone design elements; black and white brilliants create contrasts, contours, and surfaces.
