Spookily beautiful! Mido presents the "Commander Gradient Catrines" for Día de Muertos

Since 2020, Mido has been inspired by one of Mexico's oldest celebrations—Día de Muertos—which takes place annually from October 31 to November 2. This year, the result is called "Commander Gradient Catrines."

The special edition for the Day of the Dead, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008, was originally designed only for the Mexican market – but is now one of Mido's most sought-after creations.

The skull, one of the typical symbols of the Mexican Day of the Dead, is surrounded by flowers on the "Commander Gradient Catrines" and decorated with vibrant, phosphorescent colors: sky blue, violet, turquoise, orange, dark blue, lime green, fuchsia, white, light green... a joyful firework of colors illuminates the watch's dial. Applied with Superluminova at eight points and in ten layers of lacquer.

The gradient acrylic dial reveals the date disc and Caliber 80. The Swiss automatic movement features a Nivachron balance spring for high resistance to magnetic fields and shocks, as well as a power reserve of up to 80 hours.
