The Chronoswiss family grows with the "Kleine Sekunde" model

The "Small Second" marks the beginning of a new family in Chronoswiss's "Modern Mechanical" collection. The Lucerne-based manufacturer has thus realized its vision of creating a striking mechanical watch that dispenses with all superfluous elements, yet is rich in craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The brand calls it its most elegant timepiece to date, measuring 40 millimeters in diameter and 11.5 millimeters thick. The stainless steel case features polished sides, sandblasted and shaped lugs, and what the Lucerne-based watchmakers consider the sleekest crown they've ever created.

A domed construction, 3D layering, and handcrafted dials surround the C.6000. First introduced in 2023, Chronoswiss's in-house movement features a ruthenium coating, a tungsten rotor, and a Côtes de Genève finish radiating from the center, echoing Chronoswiss' signature radiant guilloché pattern. Developed in collaboration with La Joux-Perret and boasting a 55-hour power reserve, this complex movement will be found in Chronoswiss' next-generation watches.

“Small Second Desert”

Inspired by the beauty of the desert, this watch reflects the texture and depth of shifting sand. The dial's 3D effect is created by a laser-engraved surface refined with ten layers of nano-printing, creating a vibrant interplay of light and shadow.

"On my journey through Namibia, I was impressed by the sheer size and purity of the dunes—raw, powerful, yet shaped by time. The 'Small Second Desert' captures this essence: simplicity with depth, elegance shaped by nature," says Oliver Ebstein, CEO of Chronoswiss.

“Small Second Blue Orbit”

The hand-guilloché dial, with its meticulously engraved patterns, is a clear celebration of Chronoswiss's craftsmanship. The snailed small seconds subdial at 9 o'clock adds further depth to the movement, while its changing reflections are intended to mimic the movement of celestial bodies.
