Brilliant RONDISTE

The narrow edge between the upper and lower part of a diamond, i.e. between Crown and pavilion. The rondelle can be faceted, smooth, or natural. Its thickness influences both the stability of the stone and its Version. It is often used as a measure for proportioning.
