1st World Watch Day celebrates the art of watchmaking - and anyone can join in
On 10 October 2025, the international watch industry will celebrate with the first edition of the World Watch Day the art of watchmaking. This new cultural platform is open to everyone. You can take part in World Watch Day at the numerous events on site or online.
Preparations for the 24-hour series of events are in full swing. The hashtag #worldwatchday will be the signal of the day.
The aim is to emphasise the cultural, historical and social value of watchmaking: a craft that is both ancient and ultra-modern!
Growing partner network
In recent weeks, many new international partners have joined the World Watch Day initiative: Specialist media, collectors' clubs, trade fairs, watchmaking schools, cultural institutions and independent players. The organisers see this as confirmation of their efforts to build an international watch community.

The founding institutions include the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie, the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève, the Watch Library Foundation, the Horopedia Foundation, the Horological Society of New York, Arc Horloger, Hantang Culture, Le Figaro and Europa Star.
Experiences around the world
Although the digital experience will be emphasised in this first edition under the hashtag #worldwatchday, the event will not take place exclusively online: Several partners have also organised physical events for 10 October.
How can you take part?
You don't have to be an "official" partner to take part in World Watch Day: You can join the movement by posting your own original content on social media and adding the hashtag #worldwatchday.
