Asscher cut (cuts)

A square step cut with bevelled corners, developed in 1902 by the Asscher brothers in Amsterdam. Similar to the Emerald cut, but with greater depth and centered brilliance. The Asscher-Cut gives gemstones an Art Deco flair and highlights clarity and geometric elegance.
