Citrine (coloured gemstone)

A yellow to orange quartz, the color of which is due to iron or thermal treatment. Natural citrine is rare—many stones on the market are burnt amethysts. The name comes from the French "citron" (lemon). Citrine is considered a sunstone with a life-affirming aura.
