Hand guilloché
« Back to Glossary Index
The Hand guilloché is a traditional engraving technique in which fine, repeating patterns are manually engraved into metal surfaces—usually on dials or movement parts—using a guilloché machine. Each line is individually and precisely executed by hand, requiring the utmost skill and patience. The resulting patterns lend watches a special depth, light reflection, and exclusivity.
