SECONDE FOUDROYANTE

The flashing second is a rare Complication, in which a small Pointer in fractions of a second, often in 1/8-second increments. These rapid movements are usually displayed on a separate sub-dial and are used for particularly accurate timekeeping in chronographs with high frequency.
