Skeletonisation / Skeleton

A skeleton watch has an open or openworked movement, with as many parts as possible exposed and decoratively designed. This allows a view into the inner workings of the movement and demonstrates technical and craftsmanship refinement. Skeleton watches are visually spectacular, but require particularly careful craftsmanship to ensure stability and functionality.
