INSIGHT LUXURY - the somewhat different information medium for the luxury goods industry

Who is behind INSIGHT LUXURY and why are we doing this?

The start: INSIGHT Media since 2022

INSIGHT LUXURY has its origins in 2022, when the first edition of INSIGHT INHORGENTA in co-operation with INHORGENTA. Since then, this medium has been published every year from January to March and provides a representative overview of the topics and brands at the international industry get-together.

As we have long harboured the desire to create an information medium that clearly stands out from existing titles on the market, we have built on this successful format. Our aim was not to create another traditional B2B industry medium. We are also not a pure special interest blog, a conventional lifestyle title, a technology-driven watch magazine or a jewellery magazine full of styling tips.

Of course, we also have elements from all these formats - but our claim is different: only the best of all worlds!

We offer relevant content for everyone who is passionate about watches, jewellery and gemstones - regardless of whether they are a professional part of the industry or belong to the large community of collectors, connoisseurs, fans and customers.

Our philosophy: From the heart of the industry for everyone

Our content includes the latest news, exciting stories, new products, personalities, economic topics, market trends and reports on manufacturers, brands, retailers and other players in the industry. We categorise events and developments and share our own views with you, our readers.

Our guiding principle is:

Everything that is of interest to watch and jewellery enthusiasts is also relevant to professionals in the industry - and vice versa.

Insight Luxury

Our experience and insights have shown that only a small proportion of readers obtain information from purely specialised media. Classic lifestyle and entertainment magazines - both offline and online - are also playing an increasingly important role for retailers. Information sources that are not directly related to watches or jewellery are also becoming a valuable source of ideas for many brands and retailers - for example with regard to trends and technologies. A curated, journalistically prepared format covering all of these areas has not existed until now.

With INSIGHT LUXURY the time has come: the entire watch, jewellery and gemstone community can find relevant and exciting insights here.

The platform: Online first

A digital medium is best suited to today's reading and information habits: Content must be available quickly, easily and always up-to-date. At the same time, the attention span for reading is getting shorter - relevance and conciseness of a message are therefore more important than ever. Digital formats offer ideal conditions for this - for example with short articles, videos or multimedia contributions. The ability to share content quickly and easily via social media ensures that exciting news reaches the people who are most interested, thereby increasing the reach and visibility of individual brands and topics.

We are not ruling out a printed format as a matter of principle. It still has its appeal to hold something printed in your hand. However, the scope and topicality of the news as well as the needs of our readership clearly speak in favour of a digital information medium.

The heads of INSIGHT LUXURY

Antje Heepmann - Watches and business topics

Antje Heepmann, Autorin bei Insight Luxury

Antje Heepmann is an experienced specialist journalist specialising in watches, jewellery and luxury who, after many years working in renowned specialist editorial offices, founded the online medium INSIGHT LUXURY and characterises it with well-founded, vividly narrated content.

Antje Heepmann introduces herself:

"After studying German, history and sociology at the University of Bielefeld, I began my career as a journalist in 1999 as a trainee at the industry magazine 'U.J.S. Uhren Juwelen Schmuck'.

I remained at U.J.S. until 2018, first as editor and later as deputy editor-in-chief, and was responsible for topic and concept planning, research, article production and the digital presence.

In 2018, I moved to the trade magazine 'GZ Goldschmiede Zeitung' as an editor, expanding my jewellery horizons and my expertise in jewellery marketing.

From October 2019 to January 2025, I was part of the international WatchPro team and responsible for setting up the German-language version of the magazine as well as for all content creation (online and print). During this time, I gained a deep insight into the watch industry - from A to Z and in all price ranges -, met fantastic personalities and visited fascinating manufactories.

In May 2025, I took the plunge into self-employment and am now looking forward to working with industry insiders Annegret Moser and Wolfram Bekker to develop the online magazine INSIGHT LUXURY with exciting stories, informative articles and daily news.

What do I love about my job? Quite simply: getting to know new people, making and maintaining contacts, discovering connections and transferring all of this into reader-friendly and gripping stories.

When time allows, my favourite place to be is on, in or by the water. So it's fitting that I've been living in or near Hamburg in the immediate vicinity of the River Elbe for almost ten years: my dream starting point for voyages of discovery into the multifaceted world of time measurement."

Annegret Moser - Jewellery and society topics

Annegret Moser, Autorin bei Insight Luxury

Annegret Moser, who studied Japanese studies and is a jewellery enthusiast, works as a freelance editor for INSIGHT LUXURYwhere she turns her in-depth experience in editorial work, but also in online marketing, and her enthusiasm for the world of jewellery into inspiring stories.

Annegret Moser introduces herself:

"After studying Japanese Studies, Ethnology and General Linguistics at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, I began my career as an editor with a traineeship at WEKA Media Publishing. My career began as an online editor for the smartphone magazine connect, with an interlude in print. It eventually led me to subsequent positions, this time as a content manager in the IT sector and for the German manufacturing industry. In these positions, I was able to hone my skills in online marketing, analytics and search engine optimisation.

I ended up back in print and finally in the jewellery industry by chance - and a move to Austria. The move from Germany led me to beautiful Vienna and a new job at the industry magazine Blickpunkt Juwelier, where I took on the role of chief of service after a year and a half. During my two and a half years at the publishing house, I threw myself head over heels into the jewellery industry and got to know and love it.

I call myself a jewellery enthusiast and I am determined to spend a large part of my professional life working in this exciting field because I believe I will never run out of things to say.

I have been a freelance editor since September 2024 and, together with Antje Heepmann and Wolfram Bekker, I am responsible for INSIGHT LUXURY bring our readers closer to the world of jewellery and watches.

In my work, I love to be infected by the enthusiasm and exciting stories of other people. If my articles spark a spark and inspire readers, then I've done my job well. I love the craft of jewellery, the passion of the people behind the art, ingenious designs - and of course the great feeling of occasionally trying on or wearing a few of these fantastic works of art myself.

I like to spend my free time in nature with hikes or long walks. I also enjoy painting and drawing and have taken up embroidery as a hobby. Since I started writing about jewellery, I have also become an avid collector myself. My small collection is often expanded with pieces that I associate with people or memories from my work."

Wolfram Bekker - Publisher, Partner Relations and author for special topics

Wolfram Bekker, Herausgeber und Autor bei Insight Luxury

Wolfram Bekker comes from a family rooted in the watch and jewellery industry for generations, combines a deep understanding of the industry with entrepreneurial vision and, as co-founder of FAVOR Holding and of INSIGHT LUXURY innovative marketing and high-quality content for the world of jewellery and watches.

Wolfram Bekker introduces himself:

"I've never actually written a summary of my career stages before - at least not in this form. While I was thinking about which stations are worth mentioning and which are not, I realised an aspect that I had always been aware of, but whose significance I had never really fully recognised before: Watches and jewellery have played a central role in my family for over 125 years.

My great-grandfather ran a jewellery shop on Mönckebergstraße in Hamburg, which his daughter, my great-aunt, continued to run until the 1980s - when she was already in her mid-seventies. My maternal grandfather was a master watchmaker and worked at his workbench in Alsdorf near Aachen until his death at the age of 83. My uncle became a master watchmaker and goldsmith, my father was also a master watchmaker and jeweller, and my mother also worked for a large German jewellery company with international branches for over 40 years.

Looking back, I am not surprised that I also found my way into this industry. Although I realised early on that my impatience was not suited to the watchmaking profession, I began a traditional apprenticeship as a retail salesman at Wempe after completing my A-levels and military service. This was followed by a degree in business administration and a brief excursion into another industry, where I came into contact with press relations for the first time.

I then returned to Wempe - this time in the Marketing and Visual Merchandising department, with initial management responsibility. Three years later, I switched to the industry and was lucky enough to start at Wellendorff in Pforzheim. In a similar position to my previous one, I got to know the German jewellery landscape, made numerous contacts - and finally decided to work independently.

Wellendorff remained a customer, but other brands were added. During this time, I also began working with Antje Heepmann and was increasingly able to advise jewellers, including Juwelier Kutter in Stuttgart - a partnership that lasted 14 years and during which I was able to accompany the development of the company in almost all areas.

Over time, digital marketing and communication became more and more of a focus and after my path took me from Stuttgart back to Hamburg, I initially made a stopover at Untitled Verlag. Finally, I took the opportunity to found FAVOR Holding together with my son Scott and Natalie Meins. Since then, we have dedicated ourselves to innovative, sometimes disruptive marketing in the industry - and today we also publish INSIGHT LUXURY.

Opening my own jewellery shop was never an option for me - perhaps again because I'm just too restless for that. FAVOR and INSIGHT, on the other hand, give me exactly what I'm looking for: variety, exciting projects, close dialogue with great people - in an industry that I love."
