NOMOS Forum 2026: International Perspectives and New Metro Models
At the seventh NOMOS Forum in Glashütte, more than 130 guests from 22 countries were introduced to new models, gained insights into the manufacturing process, and explored current industry topics. The event also highlighted how much the brand has grown internationally and the role that investments in in-house production play in its continued development.

International Presence Meets Glashütte Manufacturing
Journalists, content creators, and specialty retailers from Europe, the U.S., Mexico, and China gathered at the company’s headquarters in Saxony for two days. According to CEO Uwe Ahrendt, the U.S. and China, in particular, have become increasingly important markets for NOMOS. The company’s international expansion remains closely tied to its manufacturing operations in Glashütte.
Over the past two years, the company has invested approximately three million euros in new machinery. This includes cleaning and wire-cut EDM machines, a stone-setting machine with a sorting system, and a new milling center. This allows several production steps to be consolidated, which is intended to increase precision and efficiency. At the same time, NOMOS aims to make its production—which is already CO₂-neutral—even more resource-efficient.

Eleven new watches by the end of the year
NOMOS also used the forum to provide a preview of eleven models scheduled for release by the end of 2026. Among the first new releases is the Club Sport neomatik World Time dark, which has already been unveiled. Also included are two Metro variants in ice blue: the Metro neomatik 41 Update ice blue and the Metro Date Power Reserve ice blue.

Metro Date Power Reserve with the new DUW 4701 caliber
The Metro Date Power Reserve is the first NOMOS watch to feature the new hand-wound caliber DUW 4701. It offers a 52-hour power reserve, a patented power reserve indicator, and a quick-set date. The sapphire crystal case back reveals the Glashütte ribbing, circular graining, temperature-blued screws, and the skeletonized balance cock.

The metallic, shimmering dial shifts between cool blue and nearly white depending on the angle of the light. Blue and white dots mark the hours and minutes; the three-color power reserve indicator adds a distinctive touch with its white, light blue, and blue-green hues. Designed by Mark Braun, the Metro line thus retains its characteristic asymmetrical display but takes on a significantly different visual appearance.

Looking Beyond Watchmaking
In addition to products and production, the forum addressed changes in retail and communication. Media expert Matthias Wesselmann spoke about the influence of artificial intelligence on purchasing behavior in the watch industry. Berlin-based master gilder Michelle Sachs also provided insights into her craft and her work with gold leaf—a reference to the NOMOS special edition “Twice Unique,” on whose dials she collaborated.
