Tudor and the flamingos' favourite colour

Tudor's latest chronograph with a "Flamingo Blue" dial brings a touch of summer feeling to the northern hemisphere winter.

Flamingos are not blue, as we all know. Of course, Rolex's sister brand knows this too. But if one were to describe the color "Flamingo Blue," it would probably be this particular shade of turquoise, reminiscent of the tropical waters that flamingos so enjoy.

And with this very color on the dial, this timepiece stands out from other Tudor creations. No other model from the brand uses flamingo blue.

Therefore, the “Black Bay Chrono Flamingo Blue” as well as the “Black Bay Chrono Pink” from 2024 are something for every watch lover who likes to stand out with their wrist jewelry.

Once it has caught your eye, it reveals its technical and material features, starting with the polished 41-millimeter stainless steel case, water-resistant to 20 bar, which features a fixed bezel with a black anodized aluminum dial and a tachymeter scale.

It surrounds the domed Flamingo Blue dial with contrasting round subdials and Superluminova-coated snowflake hands. The latter are one of the hallmarks of the Tudor diving watches introduced in 1969.

To ensure that these movements always follow their precise orbits against the brilliant blue background, the "Black Bay Chrono Flamingo Blue" is equipped with the MT5813 chronograph caliber. Certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), it features a silicon balance spring, a power reserve of approximately 70 hours, a column wheel, and a vertical clutch.

The Breitling 01 manufacture movement serves as the basis. Equipped with a high-precision regulating organ developed by Tudor and exclusive finishes, this manufacture movement is the result of a long-term collaboration between the two brands, which have decided to pool their expertise in the design and production of certain mechanical watch movements.

This new Tudor is worn on a five-row stainless steel bracelet with a quick-adjustment system.
